But for car owners, where to adjust the height of the lights may be the hardest thing to find. The second thing is to what extent it should be adjusted. (I have seen many repair shops that don’t know what standards are)

Because I am engaged in the car lighting modification industry, I have such a set of tools myself. We most commonly use a cross screwdriver, and most models can be fixed with just a cross screwdriver. The second one is the 6-pin hex and the 4-pin small socket (usually people don’t have these two tools. If you can’t fix your own car lights with a cross screwdriver, give up decisively and go to a modification shop to adjust the lights)

Find the location of the car light adjustment knob
Let me give you a general introduction first, and then I will use a car light as an example. (Put it at the end of the article)

2: Find the car lights. We think of the car lights as a cube, up and down, front and back, left and right. (The knobs for adjusting the height of the car lights are generally located on the top of the car lights, at the junction between the top and the back, and at the back) I will give you a picture.

What is the standard for adjusting car lights?
After finding the position of the car light adjustment knob, of course we have to start adjusting the car lights.
Must read before adjustment: first after dark~~~; remember to adjust the car lights, do not just rotate in one direction, test back and forth which side is high and low, which side is left and right, and then adjust.
First drive your car to a wide, flat area. For example, an underground garage.
1: Let’s talk about the highs and lows first. The standard for high and low is that as a driver, you can sit in the driving seat and have light where you can see it, and it can be comfortable to look at. (Some models have an electric height adjustment function, which must be adjusted to the middle position first)
2: Let’s talk about left and right. The standard for left and right is the width of your car. Let the center point of the car light be on the straight line drawn forward from both sides of your car.

- Some car lights have integrated high and low beams and only two adjustment knobs. Some cars have separate high and low beams, and there will be four adjustment knobs (or there may be two, connected internally), which are the left and right settings for the low and high beams.
- The lights are equipped with electric height adjustment, which can be adjusted by yourself outside. Some motors will be outside the car lights. In other words, after seeing the motor, this is the height adjustment knob!
- For car lights with integrated high and low beams, first lower the lights, then adjust them left and right, and finally adjust them high and low. During the adjustment process, high and low will affect each other. Don't be anxious and adjust slowly.
- The knobs for adjusting the car lights are usually white or black. In addition, they are also the color of the engine body.
- The knobs for adjusting the left and right lights of the car are usually located closer to the fenders. If you look carefully, there must be one.
