This front bumper has been exposed to wind and sun for a long time. Not to mention more, with my strength, I can definitely kick it off with a flying kick from an electric cannon! The original headlights should be separated from the fog lights, but this one is not only an integrated headlight, but also has a lens.
Are you a little confused when you see the paint film meter readings in front of you being so high? Don’t be confused, let me explain to you. This car was originally black, but a later owner changed it to blue, and a later owner changed it to the current green color.
It seems that the previous owners of this car have quite unrestrained personalities. That's the good thing about old cars. It doesn't hurt to modify them as you like. At present, it seems that the frame of this car is all modified and spray-painted, and it should have nothing to do with the accident.
Come on, just now I was saying that I didn’t know whether it was due to a collision or modification, but now the truth is revealed. There was definitely a frontal collision in the front, but it wasn't too big.
In fact, these repairs are no longer important for a car produced in 2008. People who buy this car now do so out of emotion. With this ancient shape and antique structure, you can just pick it up now. Every car that comes over is more advanced and safer than this car. Even the anti-collision beam of this car is integrated with the longitudinal beam!
The key is that the anti-collision beam and the longitudinal beam are flush, and there is no buffering effect at all. If there is a slightly violent impact, the longitudinal beam will bear all the impact, and the anti-collision beam will not have any buffering and energy absorption. Anyone who dares to use this design now will probably be pissed off by netizens.
There are signs of extensive sheet metal repair on the left side, but that's not the worst part. What is serious is that structural parts such as the bottom beam of the A-pillar and the inside of the C-pillar have also begun to corrode, and the bottom beam and the inside of the C-pillar are still relatively serious.
This situation is most likely caused by the failure to prevent rust when the accident was repaired. The putty will crack over time, and if it cracks, water will enter, and then rust.
In fact, it is not impossible to repair a situation like this. If it is a large area of rust, you only need to find a replacement door, cut a larger piece of iron sheet, knock it flat, and then use brazing to weld it to the location where the rust has penetrated. Then add rust prevention and you're done. But if it's the kind of twisty corner, the styling alone is too troublesome, so it may have to be cut and replaced.

Seeing this, I couldn't help but think of the car bottoms I had repaired back then. Due to the backward steel-making technology at that time, anti-rust measures were not in place. Some old cars would rust through the inner bottom panels of the cockpit over time.
In other words, if you are sitting in a car and you can see the ground when you lower your head, you are in serious danger of falling at any time. How outrageous do you think it is? To be honest, I still can’t figure out how those cars passed the annual inspection...
The taillights on the left and right sides have also been repaired, but even after repairs, time can't escape the butcher's knife, just like a cracked wall. The rear door frame is well sealed, indicating that it has not been rear-ended. There is nothing wrong with the tailgate other than the color change and painting. There is a piece of broken glass on the rear door, but the area is not large, so it is innocuous.
The right side is much lighter than the left side upon inspection. It is just a simple sheet metal repair of the exterior covering parts. Structural parts such as ABC columns are no problem.
So here we have finished looking at the exterior parts of this car. Although it looks like there are a lot of flaws, the serious problem is just the impact corrosion on the inside of the left rear C-pillar.
Is this a problem for people who really like this car? After all, this kind of Mulberry is not only extremely rare now, but it was also rare even back then. There is no other reason. At that time, the world was still dominated by sedans, and station wagons were inherently unpopular, so there were very few of them.
Let's take a look at the chassis of this car. We can see that the engine and gearbox have been disassembled, including the oil pan and the front pulley.
This is not surprising. During ordinary maintenance processes such as repairing the oil pan and replacing the clutch plate, the gearbox and oil pan will be removed for this engine.
Moreover, the pins of this engine have been replaced, so it is impossible to verify whether this engine has been overhauled. But I think there is no need to worry about this now. As long as the current engine condition is OK, car repairs and repairs are inevitable these days.
This photo is the anti-collision steel beam of this car, and it is also the water tank frame of this car. According to the national standard, cracking here is considered a proper accident car.
But we have to be clear that the cracking here is not caused by the collision, but the material itself. Because the steel here lacks sufficient flexibility, it expands and contracts with heat and cold over time, and the stress is insufficiently released, which leads to the cracking of the steel. Nothing to do with the accident. To be honest, the problem here is not as serious as the C-pillar.
