We installed Hella 6P lenses and silver decorative covers to make the lights look more impressive. This light comes from the original factory. After years of use, the lamp housing has aged and the plastic has become brittle and brittle, requiring repair. Friends in the industry or repair shops should know that repairing this kind of car lights requires removing the lamp housing and repairing the upper cover, but the repair process is not easy and takes a long time. After the car light modification was completed, we conducted a brightness comparison test.
The Octopus no-disassembly lamp is very convenient to modify, but there is one situation that makes it tricky. That is the 13 and 15 models. The lampshades on these models have aged so badly that when we tried to repair them, the lamp prongs would fall off, causing cracks and shattering of the lamp housing. The repair process is very tedious and requires constant addition of plastic to increase its stickiness. Normal plastic should have a certain viscosity when heated, but failed plastic will soften quickly, causing the interior to weather and become very fragile. This situation is also common on A6L models, where the lamp housing is even more fragile than paper. Restoring this type of headlight can take a lot of time and effort, even with a simple modification. If the repair fails, we can only replace the entire lamp housing and rebuild it.
