Hello everyone, this issue is reviewing a small laser LED bifocal lens from Kaibonda. This brand is relatively niche and not well-known online. It has a good reputation offline. It is a product that focuses on cost-effectiveness.
Lens appearance
The length of the lens is medium, and the workmanship is average. There are burrs in some locations that have not been properly handled.
There are more burrs on the edges
Disassemble the connection part of the lens holder and use a washer to adjust the focal length of the lens. The processing accuracy is good.
The interior is a conventional bifocal lens structure with double lamp cups and double lamp beads.
The lamp beads come from Taiwan's New Century. There are two air guide slots designed between the upper and lower lamp beads and the fan. The fan is used to directly dissipate heat to the lamp beads. This design is relatively rare and deserves praise.
An insulating and thermally conductive silicone gasket is used between the driver circuit board and the protective case to increase heat dissipation. The materials are good.
Next, we install a pair of lenses on a bench according to fixed parameters to test its actual road brightness.
Near and far light illuminance chart
Summary data comparison
Compare with OSRAM CBI lens. The low-beam illumination is increased by 1.28 times, the low-beam coverage is increased by 1.25 times, the low-beam forward illumination is increased by 1.15 times, the intersection detection ability is increased by 3.5 times, and the curve guidance ability is increased by 3 times. The total illumination of the high beam is increased by 1.28 times, the front illumination of the high beam is increased by 1.15 times, the glare value is slightly increased, and the power of the high and low beams is similar.
Compared with the Osram CBI lens, the performance of the Kebonda lens has been improved in all aspects, especially the intersection detection ability and curve guidance ability have been greatly improved. The low-beam light type is more reasonable than CBI. Not only is the brightness higher, the range is larger, and the width is wider, but the standard deviation of the illumination value is smaller, the brightness is more uniform, and the paving effect is better. In the high-beam state, the overall brightness and irradiation distance are improved while the glare values are similar, and the high-beam light type is more reasonable than CBI.
To sum up, the characteristic of this lens is that it has no characteristics. The lens length is medium, the workmanship is average, the brightness is medium, and the power is normal. But this kind of lack of characteristics is rare, and some special light patterns are not designed to make the wall data look good. The overall brightness is relatively close to that of Osram CBIPRO, and the visual experience of actually illuminating the road is more comfortable.
Able to adapt to urban areas, suburbs, rural areas, national highways and occasional highways. It is suitable for riders with a budget of around 2,000 who pay more attention to cost performance.
