As we all know, car headlights are very important and are needed when driving at night or in emergencies. Many car owners have carefully discovered that the headlights of their cars will fog up, and some even have water in the headlights. Is this normal? How to deal with it?
Car lights fogging
Fogging of car lights simply means: water vapor condenses on the lampshade, which is the same as fogging on the windshield. Fogging of car lights generally requires three conditions: water vapor, condensation core and large temperature difference. Therefore, it is normal for car lights to fog up. As long as there is fog on the inner surface of the lampshade, there is no need for special treatment, it will disappear on its own.
Water entering the car lights
What is more serious than fog is the water inside the headlights. In this case, there is usually a problem with the sealing of the headlights. Poor sealing design of the lamp itself, improper sealing cooperation between the plug-in and the wiring harness, poor definition of the gap between the lamp and the car body, damaged vents, etc. will all cause water intrusion into the car lights. After washing the car or after it rains, water can easily enter the car lights. At this time, we need to repair them in time, otherwise the use of the car lights will be affected.
So how to judge whether the water in the car light is too foggy or really leaking? If the fog dissipates on its own within an hour and no water vapor remains, then it is simply fog. If there is still obvious water accumulation after an hour, repairs need to be carried out immediately.
